Beta Omicron Chapter help re-instate Brothers at Purdue

On November 9, 2014, the Beta Omicron chapter sent 7 brothers to the Alpha Pi chapter at Purdue University to initiate a group of outstanding young undergraduate men.  With the Alpha Pi chapter having no active members, the Alpha Sigma Phi national organization stepped in and recruited 48 men to be initiated into the Mystic Circle and revive the chapter.  At the personal request of National Representative, Carlton Matthews and the Alpha Sigma Phi National President and CEO, Gordy Heminger, the Beta Omicron representatives traveled to Purdue to assist with the initiation.
The representatives sent to assist with the initiation included Tyler Kinsley (President), Patrick Schlamb (Vice-President), Joseph Buchman (Marshal), Charles Stewart (Sergeant at Arms), Joshua Easley (Secretary), Nicholas Ader, and Austin Helm.  Because the national organization wanted the undergraduates at Purdue to be initiated by undergraduate brothers, the Beta Omicron representatives were able to perform their respective roles in the initiation ceremony. It is truly an honor that the undergraduates of our chapter were entrusted with such an important task by the fraternity’s national organization.

In Phi,
Tyler Kinsley
President
