Rabbit (Bob) Fraser #869 Passed to the Omega Chapter

Rabbit (Robert “Bob”) Lewis Fraser, 71, Topeka, Kansas, passed to the Omega Chapter on February 21,2022.

Rabbit pledged in the winter of 1971. He had been friends with Rosie (Ken) Rosokoff #834 since they were nine-year-old. In 2002 Rabbet was shot in the shoulder during a robbery of the restaurant he managed. The bullet ricocheted and hit his spine, which rendered him a paraplegic. Being the wonderful person that he was, Rabbit kept his great personality and attitude toward life to the end. His wife, Barb, saw to it that they returned to Homecoming in October of 2013. They instigated the three Texas Alpha Sig rendezvous, when they invited OddBall #840 to visit them in Austin when they visit their daughter and Rosie who lives nearby.   Rabbit and Barb were significant contributors to the New Old Gal.

Bob was born January 29, 1951, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Lewis and Genevieve Lorich Fraser. He graduated from Tonawanda High School in New York in 1969, where friends knew him as “Rabbit”. Bob earned a bachelor’s degree from Tri-State University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He married Barbara Murphy in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on November 7, 1980. Bob spent his career working in the restaurant industry, his most recent position was general manager at Carlos O’Kelley’s in Topeka. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, bowling, racquetball, and sports in general. Bob loved being with his family.

Bob’s family thanks Jenna, Jill, all his nurses, and all the caregivers from Angels in the Home.
